Ahead of its time, the Chiuro Social Dairy was the first dairy cooperative to produce drinking milk in Valtellina.
The company was founded in 1957 in response to the need for entrepreneurial growth for many small farmers.
Today, we are a consortium of 80 members and around twenty farms.
From the beginning, the dairy has stood out for its cutting-edge technologies; at the same time, we employ traditional farming methods to ensure the well-being of our animals and the quality of our milk.
We raise native cows, which feed on hay from permanent Valtellina meadows and grass grazed freely in our valleys and mountain pastures.
The milk thus produced is processed in our dairy according to the most advanced management and production control systems.
We use cutting-edge logistics facilities to offer high-quality milk and prestigious traditional Valtellina cheeses every day, including DOP and other PDO products, including raw milk.
